Born 1970 in Sombor (Serbia), of German and Serbian
descent, Atila Schroder's formal recognition in the
visual art's world began with his first collective
exhibition in his native town Sombor where he was
acknowledged as an artist with a specific and very
original expression.
Having lived as a monk for 6 years, some of that time
in India, Atila Schroder entered deeper realms of
spirituality. His need for artistic expression that
mirrors a spontaneous movement of soul came from a
deep longing and search for self-realization.
In frequently stating - "I did not know that art is
such a powerful tool for working on myself" - Atila
shows us that although being 36 years of age, he is
still an "innocent child" who again and again, with the
same enthusiasm and fascination continues to discover
the world that surrounds him.
His broad artistic language, defined through vibrant
colors and movement, reflects his living in remote
areas such as Greece, Cyprus, Italy, and India. All
of his pieces reveal his need for freedom of movement,
his search for himself, his need to LEAVE FOOTPRINTS
ON WATER......HIS NEED TO LIVE THE MAGIC OF LIFE.
